The five events across the Bowen Basin attracted 350 participants last year and raised $5000 for the Central Queensland Helicopter Service.
This year’s event will follow the same format as last year with a nine hole Ambrose event, four persons per team, 18 teams per event, shot gun start, two teams per hole and the first, second and third teams from the five mining town events will go through to the 18 hole final in Mackay.
The events will take place on April 3, 12pm Middlemount; May 8, 12pm Moranbah; June 12, 12.30pm Emerald; July 24, 8am Glenden and; August 14, 7.30am Tieri.
The grandfinal will be held at Mackay on Friday September 10 followed by a presentation dinner. Fundraising in the form of a major prize raffle to be drawn at QME will go to CQ Helicopter Service.
