The Queensland Mine Rescue Service (QMRS) is holding an Inertisation Seminar targeted at mine managers and ventilation officers on May 27 to 28 at the Windmill Hotel in Mackay.
The Seminar will utilize the Ventgraph software program, originally designed to show the real outcomes of decisions made when inertising with a GAG jet engine.
“It is going to a very, very exciting couple of days where participants can use Ventgraph to see what will happens when you install GAG and start inertising. You can see outcomes of any mistakes in a safe environment,” QMRS GAG co-ordinator Marek Romanski said.
During the Seminar an incident management team will be formed and participants will make decisions which the operator will enter into the software. The results of the decisions will then be visible on-screen.
