WEST Virginia mine safety director Doug Conaway will be resigning after 20 years in government.
In his role as Office of Miners' Health Safety and Training state director Conaway has been heavily involved in the investigations of the recent spate of accidents, including the January 2 Sago disaster.
Conaway will leave when Governor Joe Manchin can name a replacement, Dow Jones International News reported.
