The company said it is undergoing a major business building and re-positioning and Lodge was employed to contribute to that process.
Lodge began his career as a miner and deputy in the UK coalfields in 1973. In 1978 he obtained an engineering degree at the University of Leeds and in 1984 an MBA from the University of Newcastle. He is a certified mine manager and has worked around the world, including in Australian coal mines and in a range of business development roles. His most recent position was with contracting group Brandrill.
“There are many opportunities pending in this still difficult market, and Allied is well equipped, and well staffed with experienced, skilled, and professional coal industry personnel. It is positioned to serve clients to the utmost of its abilities, which include the experience and capability to re-engineer projects to provide lower cost solutions,” Lodge said.
