The Australian Longwall Mining Summit will be combined with the Australian Open Cut Coal Conference by conference organisers The Australian Journal of Mining.

The AJM Coal Miners Summit is to be held this year at the Mackay Entertainment Centre in Queensland, June 21-22.

Organisers said the bringing together of the two events provides the opportunity for the Australian coal industry to share information about common themes and issues while still providing specific topics for each sector.

The conference kicks off with a plenary session and delegates may then decide to attend either the longwall or open-cut sessions.
