Sanwire looks to veterans for advisory seats

WIRELESS communications and data solutions firm Sanwire has tapped two industry veterans, George Naylor and John Sisk, to serve on the newly formed advisory board for its iPTerra Technologies subsidiary.

The Oklahoma-based company said the pair would be tasked with helping to position iPTerra's underground mine communication and mine safety solutions for the US coal mining market.

Naylor, with 30 years of experience, has a background in coal property and reserve acquisitions as well as consulting, core drilling, asset evaluation and coal seam quality control.

Sisk, a 40-year mining veteran, has held entrepreneurship positions including technical and management.

“There is a very real need for Sanwire's technology in today's coal mine,” Naylor said.

“After spending much time in coal mines and witnessing their existing technologies, iPTerra's technology is not only welcomed but very much needed in the communities.”

Sisk said many active underground coal operations had older technologies and sub-standard protocols, serving as temporary solutions in order to stay compliant with government mandates.

“iPTerra's technology is definitely a breath of relief for these mining operations as they are in need of more reliable equipment and support for a safer work environment,” he said.

iPTerra’s iPMine allows mine operators to communicate via voice, text, and video as well as track, locate, identify, and monitor miners and equipment.
