While similar to the functionality of the recently released BLOCK AGGREGATION for open pit metals mines, COAL SEAM AGG bridges geology and engineering by preparing geological models of open cut coal mines for scheduling in RPM’s production forecasting tool, XPAC.

RPM’s product manager-mine planning Alun Philips said: “COAL SEAM AGG allows users to move from geological models to scheduling options and production forecasts faster than ever before.

“It significantly speeds up the process of incorporating updated geological data in your coal mine’s plan.”

Philips said one advantage of the software was its ease of use.

“One of RPM’s key development objectives is to allow users to spend less time learning the software and more time planning their mine,” he said.

“With COAL SEAM AGG’s usability and inbuilt mining intelligence, we have achieved this goal.”
