Gulf Manganese Corporation, of which he was executive chairman, reported he died of a heart attack at his home yesterday morning.

Gulf deputy chairman Peter Williams expressed his condolences to Anderson’s family.

“As chairman, Graham gave highly valued, erudite and supportive guidance to the board and management,” he said.

“His cheeky smile and happy disposition will be greatly missed.”

Anderson, 52, was non-executive chairman of Pegasus Metals, Oakajee Corporation, and Kangaroo Resources.

Kangaroo managing director Ian Ogilvie said the company was deeply saddened.

“Graham’s contribution to the company has been extremely valuable and appreciated by all. He will be greatly missed,” he said.

Anderson was also a director of Mako Hydrocarbons, which said it was shocked and distraught by news of his passing.
