“PRB Coal Use is an intensive training course designed to benefit utility and industrial power plant facility managers, engineers, fuel procurement managers, operations and maintenance personnel, accountants and financial managers, logistics administrators, and others in the coal, utility and transportation industry,” said the ACC of the event set for July 23, 24 and 25 with the Hyatt at Union Station.

Also included in the itinerary is a vendor showcase for suppliers in the fire prevention, dust control and emissions control equipment sectors, among others, as well as presenters from groups including Martin Engineering Services, Airtrol and Powertechniques.

“This intensive course provides utility coal consumers with advanced techniques, best practices and risk management approaches for handling, storing and consuming Powder River Basin coal,” the council added.

“The course highlights a number of areas critical to the safe, effective and efficient utilisation of PRB coal, including production, transportation, materials handling and storage, combustion and emissions control.”
