Staff Reporter

Comdek will acquire the company by issuing 28,500,000 shares, valuing Energy Investments at $A4.27 million.

Historical drilling at the Woodbury and Latrobe Coal project in Central Tasmania show 12-22 million tonnes of thermal coal, but Comdek said it believed there was potential for further "significant" coal discoveries and has an initial exploration target of 100-160Mt.

The projects lie adjacent to a freight railway line which accesses deepwater load-out facilities.

Following the acquisition, Comdek will start exploration at the projects.

Comdek was trading up 12% mid-morning at 14 cents.
