In Australia, prostate cancer claims the lives of 3000 men each year.
The partnership will support prostate cancer research at the Mater Medical Research Institute, specifically into new therapies for prostate cancer.
BMA will organise community health seminars and fundraising events across all of its communities in central Queensland.
“As a company with a predominantly male workforce, we felt it was very important to invest funds into the research and use the partnership to educate our workforce and our communities about prostate cancer,” BMA chief executive Marcelo Bastos said.
