A subsidiary of founding Quadrem shareholder Anglo American Corporation, Anglo Coal is one of the world’s largest coal producers.

“Anglo Coal sees tremendous benefit in Quadrem and we are excited at the prospect of realising efficiencies and benefits through the marketplace,” said Anglo Coal South Africa vice president, group procurement, Gordon Johnston.

“The ability to access a global network of sellers and premium catalogue content is very important to us. We are pleased to be transacting with all of our South African locations.”

Quadrem said it had 214 buyer integration projects taking place around the world, of which 135 were finished and 79 were in varying stages of completion.
