Michael Frick was appointed MD in May following the retirement of Russel Perkins. Frick was previously managing director of Walter Bau's Canadian operations.

As part of a new strategy, the profile of the mining division has been lifted following the appointment of Frick. A new mining division has been formed with Gary Ash as general manager with direct reporting lines to Frick.

The company has long-term development drivage contracts at North Goonyella, and BHP Billiton Illawarra's West Cliff and Dendrobium mines in NSW.
