The new service center will provide a full range of rebuild, distribution, account management and service capabilities and will be located on 27 acres of land in Southern Illinois between Harrisburg and Marion.

The service center will support the complete line of DBT products including continuous miners, diesel and battery haulers, scoops, conveyor systems, roof bolters, crushers, face conveyors, shearers as well as other mining equipment. Additionally, full rebuild capabilities including reassembly, electrical repair, welding and machining will be offered along with on-site product upgrades.

“Establishing a Midwest Service Center was the result of a high demand for DBT services and products within the mining industry,” explained Pat Higgins, vice president of the Customer Service Center Midwest.

“This Service Center represents a long term commitment by DBT and ensures that DBT will be positioned to provide a high level of customer service and quality products to our customers throughout the region.”

DBT has carried out renovations to buildings previously owned by Delta Mine Holding Company. These renovations include the installation of new HVAC units, erection of cranes, office renovations, painting, and the addition of a 7,500 square foot outside storage facility to house new parts and equipment.

Start-up is scheduled to begin on February 16 with the relocation of DBT America’s Marion, IL distribution warehouse. The company’s Norris City, IL workshop will be transitioned into the Customer Service Center Midwest later this year.
