Fairmont, a wholly owned subsidiary of Consol Energy and headquartered in Canonsburg PA, is a distributor of conveyors, belts and fasteners from Conveyor Accessories, Goodyear and Thermoid; roof control from Excel and Jennmar; ventilation from R.J. Stern, JMD and Bluefield Mfg.; sealants from Quickrete, Pyro-Chem and Burrell; bits, rods and augers from Kennametal; and resin from DuPont.
The company offers products from more than 1,000 manufacturers, including mine specialty, electrical, safety, industrial rubber, material handling, power transmission, piping systems and general mill supply products.
Compagni was general manager of Western operations before being promoted. He began his distribution career in August, 1973 with H&J Supply Company in Price, Utah. Mr. Compagni joined Fairmont in 1980 after Fairmont acquired H&J Supply.
Since joining Fairmont, Compagni has held positions of general manager of H&J Supply, sales and marketing director, Mountain States operations manager and finally general manager of Western operations.
