Beve Gregory, 52, and Donald Slusher, 56, were killed when a truck suddenly rolled down a hill and demolished a building at a coal-washing plant owned by Bell County Coal Corporation shortly after noon local time on August 19. Four men were in the building at the time of the accident, according to the US Mine Safety and Heath Administration (MSHA), which sent inspectors to the site.

“We’re conducting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident,” said MSHA spokeswomen Suzy Bohnert. The Kentucky State Police is assisting in the probe.

Bell County coroner Clyde Creech also provided information on the injured, saying one worker had broken bones while the other escaped with only cuts and bruises. Both were treated at a local hospital.
