According to CEO Martin Nix, Position backed the latest and most advanced technology with local support and a national team of experts.
“We pioneered UAS [unmanned aerial system] mapping technology in Australia for survey and mining applications and are one of the few suppliers in Australia with a certified CASA [Civil Aviation Safety Authority] UAS operator’s certificate,” he said.
“As a leading UAS solution provider here, with a number of successful mapping projects now completed, we know how to get the very best from the technology.
“With UAS mapping becoming more widely accepted by mining and resources companies, it's important to choose a provider who has the necessary experience, as well as appropriately skilled personnel on staff.”
Position will also show FARO laser scanners and Carlson heavy equipment guidance systems at AIMEX, after recently being appointed as a distributor for both.
The stand will also showcase Topcon Positioning Systems’ newly released MS monitoring station, which can be set up to provide deformation monitoring onsite and can be remote-controlled from a site office or laptop.
Position is Topcon’s exclusive Australian partner for machine control and positioning systems.
“Position Partners offers the world’s leading products in the areas of machine guidance, fleet management and precision measurement systems and solutions, with applications across mining, civil construction, building and surveying,” Nix said.
“Our display at AIMEX will showcase what we can offer the mining sector, not only in terms of products and solutions but also our deep industry knowledge, experience and expertise.”
Australian owned Position will exhibit on stand B1105 at AIMEX, which runs on August 21-23 at Sydney Showground.
