About 6% of the more than 6000 organisations with published appraisals results achieved this status.
CMMI is a process improvement appraisal framework administered by the CMMI Institute to determine the maturity of an organisation’s software and development processes.
“To be appraised at maturity level 5 is a significant accomplishment that few companies have achieved,” Honeywell automation and control solutions chief technology officer Dan Sheflin said.
“The CMMI rating is the highest form of third-party validation that we can receive in software development, and our rigorous processes have led to as much as a 25% improvement in development cycle time for complex software projects. We are honoured to achieve this recognition”, he continued.
“There are proven linkages between higher CMMI maturity and improved product development and business results,” Avnet Services senior business unit director-software engineering Rolf Reitzig said.
“Achieving CMMI Maturity Level 5 clearly demonstrates Honeywell is committed to developing high-quality products for its customers.”
