The major surface and underground mining equipment maker lodged a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Act notice with the Pennsylvania state government in September regarding is 325 Buffalo Street, Franklin facility.

That WARN notice takes effect from November 20 and relates to 85 workers at the plant by the Allegheny River.

According to reports Joy is idling its plant at 4400 West National Avenue, Milwaukee due to “challenging markets”

The company expects to being taking the actions in Milwaukee from November 30.

Also according to reports, Joy does not know when the operating unit will start again.
