Total industry LTIFR was estimated by the Minerals Council of Australia as four, a significant improvement on last year’s indicative rate of six.

Total coal LTIFR was seven, down from nine compared to the same period last year.

Total recordable injuries frequency rate (TRIFR), which includes all injuries except first aid cases, was 66 for underground coal. The national total was 21.4.
