The lecture, entitled ‘Working both sides of the pond’, is held by the School of Mining Engineering at the University of New South Wales.
Prior to his current appointment, Craig worked with Peabody as group executive for their Powder River Basin operations in the USA, and before that at both Moura, Queensland, and the Warkworth mine in the Hunter Valley of NSW.
Craig’s lecture will overview Peabody international operations, as well as give some unique insights and experiences of mining in both countries with respect to management challenges, skills shortages, safety approaches, different industry and workforce cultural issues, and growth plans for Peabody.
Organisers invited all interested mining industry personnel, including UNSW mining engineering alumni and their guests, to the lecture and dinner.
