Scheduled for June 23-24 at the university, the conference is intended for health and safety officers in the industry as well as supervisors and foremen, training professionals and human resources representatives and other interested parties such as mining associations, unions and those interested in alcohol and substance misuse management and prevention.

A registration fee is required, but those attending for the first time may be eligible for one of several scholarships. Professional development points are pending by the International Society of Mine Safety Professionals.
