Classic Minerals' stage 1 plant includes a standalone crushing facility that feeds into a 1.5 micron trommel for screening before recirculating through a ball milling operation for optimum screening size.
The plant's gravity extraction and separation processes utilise hydro-cyclone Gekko equipment to produce concentrate ready for gold recovery.
Throughput is 100,000 tonnes per annum.
The stage 2 plant will include a carbon-in-leach circuit and upgrades for increased throughput of 200,000tpa.
Bulk sample ore will be used for wet commissioning of the plant, with any ore left over to be put through the gravity circuit.
Commissioning will include installation of a Citect SCADA package for data acquisition and local operator control.
The process will also include automated sequence testing and instrument calibrations.
A single Wilfley table separator with capacity for 1.2 tonnes per day will be used to generate a smeltable gold concentrate.
IPS will use bespoke software upgrades to implement all additional equipment and automate the processing plant.
On site at Kat Gap, Classsic has drilled a second water bore that is pumping more water than one drilled previously.
Both bores are active and will be used to supply water to the processing plant.
