Vertex Minerals' Hill End project has combined mineral resources of 485,000 ounces.
The concentrate came from historical gold-in-circuit including material from sumps, used to commission Reward's refurbished processing plant.
Gold around Hill End is generally free milling and amenable to gravity separation, so there is no need for Vertex Minerals to use cyanide.
With commissioning works on the plant done, Vertex Minerals will turn its attention to processing stockpiled material.
Vertex Minerals executive chairman Roger Jackson said the company was taking a staged approach to processing stockpiles.
"We are excited to have reached this milestone in the startup of operations at Hill End and now look forward to updating shareholders on gold production," he said.
"We are also highly focused on moving to mining the high-grade Reward mine next year."
