Pads for the site office, workshops and stores have been completed, the process water dam has also been built and the liner is being installed.

Access roads from the Morawa-Yalgoo road to the processing plant and site offices, accommodation village and open pits have been completed.

Preparations for laying the tailings pipe from the processing plant to the existing tailings storage facility at Gullewa are ongoing.

The first accommodation units in the accommodation village have been installed and installation of plumbing and electrical services in preparation for the delivery of the wet mess, kitchen and dining hall units is ongoing.

Open pit mining is due to start in February with underground mining starting in May.

Contract tenders to mine the West Lode and Central Lode open pits will be received this week.

The aim is to have a preferred contractor appointed and ready to mobilise on site during January so mining can start the following month.

The processing plant is due to be commissioned by the end of June.

Doray is building a gravity-flotation processing plant to let it extract the gold, silver and copper content.

On the finance side Doray recently completed the placement and fully underwritten entitlements issue that combined raised about $25 million net of costs.

Doray is working with Westpac to complete the finance facility by the end of October.

When up and running it is envisaged Deflector will be a high grade, low cost gold-operation.

Doray expects an initial six-year mine life but says there is significant exploration potential.

Once built Deflector is targeting production of 150,000 to 160,000 ounces per annum gold equivalent with an average all-in sustaining cost of less than $A1000/oz across Andy Well and Deflector.

The company is using its recent development experience from the Andy Well Gold Project to better develop and operate Deflector.

The two deposits share many similar characteristics. They are both shallow, narrow vein, high-grade deposits. They will be mined predominantly through underground methods.
