Ardmore is looking to Split Creek Dam for extra water.

Ardmore is looking to Split Creek Dam for extra water.

It plans to use the Split Creek Dam to capture and store water for Ardmore.

The definitive feasibility study on Ardmore identified a possible need for additional water for the second half of the mine's life.

The study identified Split Creek Dam as a potential solution.

Water for mining and processing at Ardmore will initially be drawn from a known local aquifer in the northern section of the granted Ardmore mining lease.

Approvals are being sought to capture and store water in the Split Creek Dam as required by the relevant legislation.

Centrex CEO Simon Slesarewich said this was another step in bringing Ardmore into production.

"Although water from the Split Creek Dam will be not be required for a number of years, the company is proactively derisking the Ardmore development to ensure maximum flexibility for mining operations," he said.
