It is understood Mineral Resources has extended its contract with K2fly.

All signs point to that mining services organisation being Mineral Resources, however, when pushed on the matter K2fly executive chairman and CEO Brian Miller would neither confirm nor deny.

K2fly provides infrastructure asset management to vertically-integrated asset intensive industries through a software technology platform, and the company will continue to provide asset-specific data management, analysis and efficient asset maintenance profiling under the terms of the contract.

One of its main tools is a system called Asset Data Analysis Management, or ADAM.

K2fly relaunched on the Australian Securities Exchange in November through a back-door listing into Power Resources.

Miller said contract engagement was expected to increase in the first half of 2017, which would place K2fly in pole position to win even more contracts in the mining sector.

“The global mining industry is showing significant signs of improvement with a number of major mines restarting operations and a number of brownfield and greenfield expansions underway,” he said.

“The industry in general is at a really interesting stage of its development, with massive capital investment underway and new mines being commissioned around the world.”

Miller said K2fly had the software, expertise and credibility to contribute to the mining market, and the contract extension showed the company could work alongside major industry players.

“Organisations that have an obligation to keep operating mines in steady-state production, minimise safety concerns and increase profitability in a safe operating environment need to know the condition of their assets on a minute-by-minute basis,” he said.

“Their assets are their life blood and they invest heavily to ensure optimum performance.”

Miller said with large blue collar workforces working on assets daily the quality of information available to those workers was mission critical.

K2fly expects the enterprise asset management sector to maintain its strong growth, and the company will continue to work with existing clients and an expanding new business pipeline to generate more sales.
