Shaky roof and floor conditions curtail Ashton production

Ashton's run-of-mine production for the nine months to September was 23% lower than the previous corresponding period at 1 million tonnes.   

Yancoal said the difficult conditions at the mine reduced output, and the additional stone material in the RoM coal impacted the wash plant yield.

"Operating standards are being maintained to ensure mitigation measures are in place," the company said.
