New Cornell agent ready and primed

Staff Reporter

NEW Redi-Prime dewatering pumps are among the wide range of Cornell pumps offered by Engineered Products Group, which became the exclusive Australian distributor for Cornell in October last year.

According to EPG, the Redi-Prime pumps offer several major advantages over conventional vacuum prime pumps. With 100-600mm discharge sizes, Redi-Prime pumps were available for heads to 150m and boasted flow rates up to 10,000 litres an hour, EPG said.

Specifically designed for well point mine and site dewatering, Redi-Prime pumps feature a simple, robust vacuum priming arrangement based on an integral 50cfm diaphragm vacuum pump which evacuates air via a positive sealing float box on the pump suction. This is said to stop water entering the priming system.

EPG said high hydraulic efficiencies also made the pumps ideal for many "permanent installations", such as raw water intake and cooling water pumping applications for power stations. Cornell’s patented Run Dry Cyclo Seal was fitted as standard on all Redi-Prime units.
