LONG-AIRDOX says its battery-powered coal haulers are setting high performance standards in Australian collieries. According to the US-based manufacturer, its CHA818 Un-A-Haulers — modified to cope with severe Australian underground mining conditions — are creating new reliability and availability records.
"Among the major collieries realising profitable Un-A-Hauler owner benefits are Cooranbong, Tower, Tahmoor and Newstan," the company said. "Australian" CHA818 units feature increased tram motor horsepower, wider tyres, electrical control system refinements and "task-specific" mechanical and hydraulic changes.
