Schroeder Industries
With flow rates up to 33,000 gallons per minute (125,000 liters per minute), Schroeder Industries’ AutoFilt RF3 Automatic Backflushing Filter is a high-volume/low-maintenance solution for process water systems.
The fully automatic, programmable logic circuit-controlled, rugged design reliably removes particulate contaminants down to 25 microns.

The BDF1 (16gpm) and BDF2 (32gpm) bulk diesel filters were designed to meet the rigorous diesel cleanliness requirements of Tier IV high-pressure, common rail injection diesel engines worldwide.
The BDF1 and BDF2 combine Schroeder’s well-known KL3 particulate filter with its patent pending ICF coalescing filter.
The BDF1 and BDF2 flow rates are ideal for single-pass fuel dispensing or tank kidney loop systems on either suction or pressure side applications.
A key feature of the bulk diesel filters is their fully synthetic, coalescing media technology. With proper maintenance of the particulate pre-filter, coalescing element change-out is reduced to semi-annually or annually. A reduction in overall element costs helps customers achieve a rapid return on investment.
Caterpillar Global Mining
Caterpillar will feature a virtual reality kiosk that enables visitors to view representative machines from the broadest line of surface mining and underground mining equipment available.
Additionally, training simulators for the Cat D11T Track-Type tractor and 793 mining truck will be available for visitors to test drive.
SAFEmine
This Swiss group of companies is providing advanced traffic awareness and collision avoidance technology to open pit mines around the world.
It has offices in Switzerland, the US and Australia, as well as partners in Canada, sub-Sahara Africa, west Africa, southeast Asia, South America and India.
Key benefits of SAFEmine technology include traffic awareness that gives operators advanced notice of nearby vehicles; collision avoidance that warns of impending collisions with minimal nuisance alarms; 360-degree protection around vehicles; and simple installation.
Besides collision avoidance for vehicles, SAFEmine offers real-time fleet tracking, integration of multiple technologies such as radar and cameras, personnel detection, and other vehicle-monitoring functions.
Gemcom
With increasingly variable commodity demand, the mining industry is seeking ways to increase production efficiency in order to maximize the economic return of their operations. Gemcom, acquired by Dassault Systèmes last year and being renamed Geovia, is bringing its Minex technology to underground mines.
Minex seamlessly links key processes including geology, optimization, mine design, interactive scheduling and rehabilitation to improve productivity and profitability throughout the mining lifecycle.
To address the needs of the growing number of underground mines being developed globally, Minex offers an underground engineering module.
Fully integrated with Minex’s other geology and mine planning tools, the underground engineering module gives mining engineers the tools to accurately calculate reserves, and quickly and easily develop effective mine design options that take complex geological factors, such as the presence of faults, into consideration.
Different design options can then be evaluated accurately before resources are committed to production.
Minex was developed specifically for coal, unlike other software or CAD tools. By automatically calculating reserves for each panel in the mine design directly from the gridded seam model, this module effectively eliminates reliance on spreadsheets and manual calculations.
Multiple scheduling scenarios can be quickly developed using a set of interactive tools, which provide the means to decide on the most effective alternative, optimizing equipment within the constraints of the selected mining precedence.
As an added benefit, engineers can generate reports for reserves and individual mine components such as pits, panels and working types, in addition to scheduling reports on equipment sequencing and production.
