The three-day Kentucky mine rescue competition held in Pikeville featured 32 teams from seven states.
The Enlow Fork Gold team also earned third-place honors in the Virginia Mining Institute Safety Days event held in Blacksburg, Virginia, earlier this month. A total of 30 teams from six states competed in that.
Individual honors were also earned by Consol employees at both the Kentucky and the Virginia events across the first-aid, pre-shift, Bench-BG-4 and Bench-Biopak competitions.
The Enlow Fork Gold team was one of 14 Consol teams at the Kentucly competition and was comprised of Todd DeWitt, Brandon Dorsey, Joshua Clark, Gaven Verbosky, Tony Sable, Greg Thorn and Andy Neff.
