SME 2012, themed Mining: It’s About the People, will be held on February 24-27 at the Colorado Convention Center.
It will be conducted in conjunction with the Colorado Mining Association’s National Western Mining Conference.
The deadline for abstracts is August 1 and chosen authors will receive an acceptance notification in September.
Manuscripts for the selected papers will then be due November 1.
Past technical session topic headings have included bulk material handling, ventilation, environmental reclamation, ground control, geomechanics, processing and surface mining issues.
