The Liddell mine was fined $3000 for exceeding blasting air pressure requirements in April.
Glencore said a review of blasting protocols had since taken place.
“Since the implementation of these changes, no further exceedances have been recorded,” a spokesman said.
The Mt Owen mine was fined $3000 after coal and water flowed down Hebden road and into Yorks Creek as a crew fought a spontaneous combustion-triggered fire in a transfer bin.
“The spill occurred as a result of fire-fighting activity undertaken with the Rural Fire Service to control spontaneous combustion in a transfer bin,” Glencore told ICN.
“Water used to extinguish smouldering coal resulted in an unexpected release of coal from the base of the bin.
“The incident was reported immediately to all relevant authorities and clean-up operations were completed within a week of the incident with no material impact on the environment.
“We have put in place further controls to avoid a potential reccurrence.”
