Emergency-prevention conference coming to PA

The one-day event has been scheduled for August 29 at the Frank J Pasquerilla Conference Center in Johnstown beginning at noon with a luncheon and the start of technical sessions at 1.30pm.

Ventilation controls, fire and explosion prevention, rock dusting, roof/rib control, machinery maintenance and housekeeping will be among the topics under discussion at the event, and a moderated panel of top safety officials from industry, academia and government will speak in a town hall format.

An audience question and answer session has also been scheduled.

The conference is free and will be recorded.
