Graham Jordan, who was 58, died after being transferred to hospital in Sydney for emergency surgery. He was trapped for an hour and a half after the roof collapsed. ILN understands the fall may have occurred in the tailgate area of the longwall.
A second miner, Alan Ekford, 39, was in satisfactory condition in Bathurst Hospital.
