Dr Karl admits clean coal mistake

Less than a week after labelling clean coal technology as a "furphy" and as being similar to "Nazi propaganda" the Climate Change Coalition party candidate admitted on the party's website that he had made a mistake.

Rather than the square kilometre area he claimed is filled daily with carbon dioxide emitted from coal burning the actual area amounts to 1,000,000 cubic metres.

In admitting his error Kruszelnicki questioned how often politicians openly admit their errors and revealed how the figure was calculated but did not retract any comments he made against the technology.
