Conveyor incident prompts warning on yield loads

THE rating and yield load of all components, including the connection points, must be considered in the design of a lifting or towing system, the New South Wales Resources Regulator has warned in its report from an investigation of an incident at Centennial Coal’s Springvale colliery in which a worker was struck on the leg by the bow shackle.
