SRG brings home the bacon

Scores $60M in mining service contracts.

SRG brings home the bacon

SRG said its total pipeline of work since November was worth $471 million.

The company secured a two-year contract from Evolution Mining to provide specialist drill and blast services, reverse circulation grade control drilling and geotechnical ground support services at the Cowal gold mine in New South Wales.

It also won a similar contract from Navarre Minerals for the Mt Cartlton gold mine in Queensland.

The third contract is for six months with Red 5 to provide drill and blast services as well as explosives supplies at the Great Western gold project in Western Australia.

SRG managing director David Macgeorge said he was pleased to have secured the three contracts and increase the company's client base in the gold sector.

"We already have a 15-year history with Evolution Mining and look forward to further strengthening this relationship," Macgeorge said.

"We also look forward to building partnerships with Navarre Minerals and Red 5 as we continue to expand our mining services business."

The awards come just a week after SRG announced it had won $150 million in drill and blast services from SIMEC Mining for its iron ore operations in South Australia.

That drill and blast contract began this month and will last five years.
