Rix's Creek uses 40 trucks to produce about 2.5 million tonnes per year of coking and thermal coal.
A Bloomfield group spokesman told Australia's Mining Monthly the dump bodies were living up to the mine's expectations.
"The product is performing as expected, supporting production and reducing fuel burn," he said.
The XP Duratray was fabricated at MMS Engineering in Muswellbrook and has a volume of 180 cubic metres compared to the original standard dump body of 138 cubic metres.
Despite having a 30% larger volume, the XP Duratray weighs only 31.9t compared to standard dump bodies, which are 10‐12t heavier.
