New South Wales Minister for Resources and Energy Anthony Roberts said the fund is an important research initiative to encourage academics, researchers and industry to develop world leading projects that look to develop innovative methods for low emission coal technologies.
“Projects must be designed for NSW coal or coal fired power stations and aim to reduce greenhouse emissions or increase combustion efficiency,” he said.
Projects considered will provide research, development and a demonstration of low emissions coal technologies or increase awareness around the need for low emissions coal technologies.
“I encourage everyone with the skills and expertise to deliver a project in this field to apply for funding through the Coal Innovation NSW Fund,” Roberts said
