It’s the third Australian mining services company acquired by Runge this year.

Fractal Technologies develops three-dimensional data management and visualisation software for the geosciences.

Runge CEO Tony Kinnane said the acquisition would enable customers to have quicker access to new product enhancements whilst creating strong investment in key mining technology.

“Runge and Fractal Technologies have been partners since 2005 – we fit well together culturally and our products are complementary,” he said.

“We are excited to be able to market the Fractal products, which have an excellent reputation globally, and equally excited by the broader opportunities that Fractal Technologies provides for Runge’s continued growth.”

Fractal Technologies will also enhance Runge’s recently launched system, Mining Dynamics, the industry’s first visual enterprise-wide software.

Mining Dynamics provides a visual system to support data management and discovery across the entire production chain.

It also works with mining companies’ existing systems and is designed to standardise geological and engineering processes.
