The land access toolkit includes a guide for industry operating in Victoria and includes streamlines access and compensation agreement templates, fact sheets, and a video explaining exploration techniques and methods to show landowners.
AMEC developed the resource after calls from industry for clear and up to date documentation.
AMEC chief executive Warren Pearce said the toolkit would ensure explorers and landowners got off on the right foot at the early stages of potential mining projects.
"With many land users and activities in Victoria, it is important for our industry to prioritise effective and regular community engagement with landowners and occupiers, and build good working relationships between explorers and community," Pearce said.
"Most exploration is short term and low impact, and these documents help to explain the methods to landowners and occupiers to assist them when negotiating access arrangements."
The guide provides examples of letters for landowners, explanations of Native Title legislation in Victoria, and a step-by-step path for accessing private land.
It also provides updated information on regulations and legislative requirements for miners.
