West Rolleston bears fruit for Bowen Energy

The seam is accompanied by thinner seams both above and below in the outcrop and is interpreted to correspond with those in the nearby Freitag Creek Deposit, within upper units of the Bandanna Formation.

The company said the seam's discovery is significant as it validates exploration efforts in the Springsure Shelf and confirms the region's potential to host a shallow deposit suitable for opencut mining.

Bowen Energy will now embark on a detailed exploration drilling campaign of the Bandanna Formation and expects to commence drilling in late 2007.
