Hull has served as director of underground mining for Black Beauty Coal in Evansville, Indiana, since July 2004.
He has more than 20 years of mining experience in a variety of senior engineering and operations positions with a major coal producer.
He holds a bachelor of science degree in mining engineering from Virginia Tech, a master of science degree in management from MIT Sloan School of Management and is a Sloan Fellow.
Peabody Energy is the world’s largest private-sector coal company, with 2005 sales of 240 million tons and $US4.6 billion in revenue.
