The combination of Cincinnati-based Dinsmore with Louisville-centered Woodward is effective September 1.
According to Dinsmore, the merger will bring another 54 practicing attorneys to its fold. While Woodward’s core competencies include labor and employment law, corporate law and products liability, it will also add several years experience to Dinsmore’s already strong background in mining.
"One of the firm's strategic goals is to keep pace with continued client growth in the Midwest and this is certainly another step in the right direction," Dinsmore managing partner George Vincent said.
Dinsmore & Shohl, established in 1908, has more than 450 attorneys at its offices in Lexington, Louisville and Frankfort, Kentucky; Cincinnati, Columbus and Dayton, Ohio; Charleston, Morgantown and Wheeling, West Virginia; and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Woodward, Hobson and Fulton was founded in 1917.
