Industrea secures $3.9M contract

AUSTRALIAN mining equipment manufacturer Industrea has won a $A3.9 million contract with a new Chinese customer, Inner Mongolia Huineng Group, for the delivery of IME 50-tonne longwall roof support carriers.

Huineng Group is based in Ordos, Inner Mongolia, and its operations include coal mines, power plants, water and road infrastructure.

The group’s mines are capable of producing 15 million tonnes of coal per year.

Industrea has secured $26 million of new mining equipment orders to China since the start of the 2010 financial year.

The company markets its methane gas drainage technology, collision avoidance systems and longwall roof support and shearer carriers into China.

Industrea was trading steady at 44c this morning.
