Enerpac sales and marketing manager Phil Dorahy said more than two dozen representatives from Enerpac packed in a multitude of industry visits during the week-long Hunter Valley visit, including industry major miners and suppliers such as Anglo American Coal, BHP Mount Arthur coal mine and Coal and Allied Hunter Valley Operations.
The Enerpac team showcased a range of technologies extending from new hydraulic lifting, bolting and pumping technologies through to its integrated solutions synchronous lifting services, which can safely lift and launch massive resources structures up to 75,000 tonnes or more.
“We had a specialist in integrated solutions out from the Netherlands to introduce products such as synchronous lifting, which was recently used in Christchurch to re-level an entire three-storey building after the earthquake there,” Dorahy said.
“Industries in the Hunter were also interested in technologies such as safe, swift and precise torque tools – which replace hazardous hammers and flogging spanners for bolting – and quiet new generation hydraulic pumps that use less energy to produce more power.”
While Enerpac has played a pivotal role in serving the Australian industry, Dorahy said the team visit was the first of its kind on this scale undertaken to recognise a vigorously expanding industry which was focusing on safety and efficiency.
