The company’s modular-style bed line protects from potentially damaging materials such as large rocks, tramp metal, roof bolts and bucket teeth that can put a stop to operations.
It also serves as a tool to help control spillage in the conveyor-loading zone.
The cradles have no pinch points or idler junction areas, utilizing its 17.5-degree bars for 35-degree idler systems, 10-degree bars for 20-degree systems and 22.5-degree bars for 45-degree systems.
They absorb impact with a heavy-duty steel design framework, and the bars are manufactured with an absorbent 40-durometer rubber to take the shock from large materials.
The entire width of the conveyor belt can be protected because of the cradles’ semi-U-shaped design. This means there are no areas of missing support between the rollers or bars, as found on traditional impact idlers or impact beds, where idler junction points often sustain the most damage.
Cradle groups are made with a heavy-duty frame with removable (slide-in or slide-out) sides and center section for easy installation and maintenance.
ASGCO said the improved line was available in standard duty (1000 foot/pounds) or mine duty (2000ft/lb), in 2ft, 3ft, 4ft or 5ft lengths.
