Under the deal, AECOM will work in a joint venture with Australian project management company Powercor Network Services.

The JV will contribute to a number of project elements, including environmental management and construction-phase support, as well as electrical, ground, structural, building design and engineering services.

“AECOM is excited to partner with PNS in delivering an integrated design and construct solution to TransGrid,” AECOM chairman and chief executive John Dionisio said.

The project is part of a substation program with a total design and construction value worth more than $1.6 billion.
